A study in the Annals of Internal Medicine, titled Nonceliac Gluten Sensitivity: Sense or Sensibility? goes further. According to it there are 4598 Google citations of noncoeliac gluten sensitivity for every science journal article about the condition, and 803 “essays” in science journals to every study. The advantage of essays is the relative ease and lack of peer review to get something published. In essence, the study (studies are peer reviewed and have to submit to academic rigor) claims, all proof for non-celiac gluten sensitivity converges on one of three studies.
