steph says: I find that the biggest drawback about video/audio online for me is that I have to stop everything and give my undivided attention. Now, I don’t want to make it sound like giving my undivided attention to something is a problem. I do it on a regular basis. But when I’m online in the text-world, I float in a state of multi-tasking that I appreciate. I can be writing or...

steph says: Feedburner allows you to invite readers to subscribe to your blog content by e-mail, and then send each post to them. I think it’s a really great way to “marry” blog and newsletter (though you lose the difference in writing style, I have to admit). If you want to see what it looks like there is a little “subscribe by e-mail” form in my sidebar.

steph says: I have the impression that if you can tag people (ie, create “easy” lists like that) and then define access rights per tag (“relationship status on Facebook: not for people tagged ‘co-workers’), it shouldn’t be too cumbersome. People who want to make it complex can make it complex, and people who want to keep it simple can keep it simple (maybe...

steph says: Shel: I agree with you perfectly re time used and money saved, and I often use that line of reasoning for myself. It’s not worth spending 2 hours hunting for the best price for a digital camera if I’m only going to save $10. In this case, however, I happen to be more in need of saving money than time right now. What I mean is that the time I used for this — a lot,...
